Troop 15 1959 - 1963…Clifford Heinz Troop Leader. Achieved Star Scout & Patrol Leader - thanks to Camp Lilienthal & Camp Royaneh. Knew your Dad well - he handled Softball, Hardball & Swimming @ local Boy’s Club Pool on Monday nights. I was present @ that Cow Palace Scout-O-Rama with his model Post Office. He sent us out individually to scout out folks having fun at all the booths, and offer postcards & stamps to send a quick note to friends & relatives regarding what a great time they were having…then I ran back t our Post Office for delivery. Very unique idea of your Dad’s. Gave me a chance to linger @ a booth that featured a Musical quartet, and I listened to Vern Whitman on Electric Guitar whom 2 years later I played in the Riordan Band with him (he played French Horn). Your Dad’s contribution with the P.O. idea was a great idea. I also played Snare Drum in your Dad’s Drum & Bugle Corps, which he taught all drummers to roll with their right hand rather than left (also using opposite hand grips on the sticks). The Sons of Italy (from North Beach) donated their drums. Saw Mr C. Playing Lawn Bowling @ GGP yrs later.
