I'm to young to remember the stautary but mu mom's photo albums from around 1959 still have some of the statues in them. Luckily my grandfather was a real shutterbug so we have plenty of shots of old SF just the way we like it.

No later photos unfortunately. My first memory of Sutro Park is the late 70s and my folks telling me"There used to be statues here on these ledges."

Wondering when and why Sutro's house was taken out? What a gorgeous, whimsical building.
