Lobos Creek remains the last significant free flowing waterway in San Francisco. The park service has created a nice 'Lobos Creek' trail that starts near the old motor pool a bit east of the 25th and El Camino del Mar entrance on Lincoln. The trail ends near the Marine Hospital later the Public Health Service Hospital now awaiting renovation as 160 dwelling units and, maybe, the removal of the early 1950s wings added to the 1930s building.

Lobos Creek is well protected from the 'Lobos Creek' trail. It's fenced and not obvious. The best view of Lobos Creek is where it passes under Lincoln just inside the 25th and El Camino entrance due north of the Ansel Adams house.
