IMPORTANT Please note that this event has been rescheduled, first from March 28, 2020 to April 25, 2020 and now until a TBD date pending instructions from state and local officials related to the spread of COVID-19.
Join us at the opening reception of our new exhibition co-curated by San Francisco Recreation and Parks Historian in Residence, Christopher Pollock.
Golden Gate Park, known for its natural beauty, is also home to a remarkable collection of cultural landscape features and memorials. Monumental Golden Gate Park explores the history of cultural landscape features by showcasing artifacts from the Park's past never before displayed in public and selections from our OpenSFHistory archive, as well as illustrations and watercolors from Richmond District resident Patrick Mahar.
This event is free thanks to District 1 Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer and the Office of Economic and Workforce Development's Invest in Neighborhoods program (but RSVP to let us know you're coming). Light refreshments provided.
