Reprising a thread started by Angus Macfarlane 13 years ago, ‘Our Wild Kingdom’, here are accounts of ‘big cat’ sightings in our urban midst. Over the last 4 years there have a number instances of mountain lions / cougars / pumas (Felis concolor) roaming parklands & open spaces and even lurking asphalt thoroughfares here in town.

Whether you’re an urban dweller, reside in the suburbs, or by agricultural lands, parks, and open spaces in the Bay Area here is useful information regarding the behavior and range of mountain lions.
