I was a Blue Bird and "flew up" to be a Camp Fire Girl from 1963 to 1967. Our group attended Columbus School on 12th Avenue between Kirkham and Lawton (it's still there but with a new name and retro-fitted to be earthquake ready)
and our meetings were held on 16th at Mrs. White's house. Her first name was Rita and her daughter, Maria, was in our group. We met on Tuesday's after school and had to pay a dime each week for dues.
