I was a student at West Portal from second grade to sixth grade in the l940's. It was wartime, and I do not remember any mascot or school colors. Does anyone remember the small
ID tags we wore with name, address, and blood type? I found mine a couple of years ago, and shared it with my grandaughters class on Grandparent's Day here in Texas.
I would be interested in hearing more about the 80 year history if possible. I have two class photos from West Portal (about third or fourth grade).
