I grew up in San Francisco, but I live in Wildwood, Missouri now. I miss the wonderful old Catholic Churches in San Francisco. I went to many weddings at St. Peter's and Paul's in North Beach.
I am not Catholic, but my husband is 1st generation Italian American and we attend St. Clare of Assisi in Ellisville. It is not a pretty church, but it does keep me focused on St. Francis of Assisi.
I know that many of the beautiful old churches in St. Louis are being closed not and it is such a shame that the kids don't get to see the beautiful marble and granite that made the churches so interesting.
Wildwood is pretty ho, hum!!!!! But it has been my home for almost 30 years.....
