My family moved here after WW2. They moved into the home on 35th Ave in 1950. I was born in 1955, the youngest of 5. I purchased the house from my parents in 1984.
My older brother Joel has a wealth of knowledge about my family, from my oldedt brother Tom, who hung out with Marty Balin and was a member of the Street Saints gang in the 50's, to the time Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe visited Joe's brother's bar at 38th and Balboa. Our family lived nest door to the flat "Tradr Sam" owned.
I would be interested in contributing to the history of the Richmond. I think we have some interesting tales to tell. Let me know if you are interested.
