State High School Football Playoffs

My husband's daughter, Christine lives in Escondido, CA. She is a retired teacher from and active in the Alumni Ass'n of Orange Glen High School. Her husband has also volunteered there for many years, working with the Orange Glen Patriots football team.

Yesterday they won a playoff game and will now be heading to the State Championships. This is their first championship team in 51 years.

They will be playing in San Francisco at George Washington High School, on the same field my husband and Christine's Dad, Bob Orr played on in 1944,'45 and '46 - and where I spent my high school years, too. The Patriots will be playing Lincoln High School on Dec. 15th, Saturday.

Life is full of surprises and happy turns of events.
