"San Francisco, My Enchanted City," was introduced into our household by my brother in-law who was a relative of Stephen & Libby McNeil. We played this LP endlessly. Listening to tracks now sends me back in memory. Dated, corny, impolitic, you bet. As a romantic 'love letter' it was representative of its time. The album originated as the music for a stage play that was never brought into being. Check out the album cover. It shows a massive Bank of America type building on the SF skyline a decade prior to actual construction at 660 California Street. Don Sherwood and Herb Caen were featured on the sound track.

The voice of the "Old Timer" on one of the tracks is Thurl Ravenscroft who sang "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch."
