Knew a sanitary SF engineer in Livermore who made more money from items plucked from the bins he collected than his paycheck. His wife ran a constant garage sale and set up a studio to enter radio contests in the Bay Area. They were always wining trips and prizes.
One mans trash is another’s treasure. Or as the old Hey 49 sign read at a place that made Fred Sanford’s yard look pristine, “we buy junk and sell antiques.”
