Thank you for the memories of the Parkside Library. I too began life at that SFPL Branch. As a 5 year old kindergarten kid from West Portal Elementary, my mother took my brother and I to the branch to apply for our first library card. I carefully printed my name and was so proud

As toddlers, we attended story time.

In junior high, I helped the head librarian Versa Cullen post art work from the local elementary schools. The library held an annual art contest. Children illustrated their favorite book. Do you remember the folding partitions (cork board)?
