The year was 1951 I believe. I was a freshman at Riordan High. The New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers playoff game was being aired over the room speakers. We were able to hear the "shot heard around the world" as called by Russ Hodges. Our teacher at the time was Ross Giudice.
In future years, I always remembered Mr. Giudice when the subject of the "shot" came up. He was a dapper dresser also.
