Virgil Williams

We have a painting by Virgil Williams, first exhibited at the Mid-Winter Fair. It still has the exhibit tag on the back. It was given to my great-grandmother by the wife of the artist. The wife was known for being the witness at the wedding of her friend Robert Louis Stevenson and lived in a house designed by Willis Polk, one of the few homes in the Russian Hill area that didn't burn in 1906.
