Thank you for this reflection of a tragic point in the time of our youth. So many times while driving on Doyle Drive over the years, I have thought of this incident. I remember the newspaper account back then, describing nine kids in a Mustang, and how they were just enjoying the evening. I knew two of them at Aptos. They were very popular and well liked. I did not really hang out in the same circle of friends but one knew me from grade school, junior high, and into our senior year of high school, and she lived just up the block. As you said, everyone knew of someone in that car. Frank, you helped us to reconnect again………………and Doyle Drive as we knew it is gone forever.
