Now it's getting clearer. It was Bob Antrocolli, not Bill. I probably never knew his real name because we simply called him "Mr. A" or "coach." (Bill Antrocolli was his son who was the pitcher, natch.)
And his restaurant was indeed the Leopard Cafe. Explains why our team was named the "Our Lady of Mercy Leopards."
