I remember Willie Mays moving into the house off 9th. But who remembers the home of Willie McCovey with the WM on the garage above on the hill above off 11th and Noriega near the top just down form the Octagonal house that belonged to the KSFO radio guy. I will not put the address down as if you know you know. Willie was great as we were pests that would go and knock on the door and get Willie to smile and give us an autographed picture. Same with McCovey except his house was much bigger than Willies with a better view and a Maid would open the door and give us the pictures. Never saw McCovey or remember. Not as nice as Mays for kids.


I had no idea that this was a golden time for the City that seems to have ebbed with the Google Bus stuff. I mean we knew where DiMaggio lived down of Van Ness and rang his bell too. He was nice also....Do celebrity open their door in the City. Not anymore...
