Just a guess, Holt, but with utility prices sky high, I'd bet everyone is torching anything that burns in their rarely-used fireplaces. Also, check the weather reports for inversions: we had one here during the recent Big Sur fire an the air was like living at SFO.

Also keep an eye out for older Winnebegos. Again, with this economy, you may have some folks "breaking bad" in your driveway.
