In the early 40's I remember it being somewhat cluttered and having really "keen" stuffed animals and birds. In addition to all the guns, there were some spears, shields, masks, and tribal items from different places in the world. The owner was very nice and explained what some of the things were. There was a strange, musty kind of smell about the place. It was always an adventure to go there, and on the way home to stop at Donutville and buy a fresh-made doughnut and stay to watch the machine in the store window making more.
