Anybody remember the Far West Hobby Shop? I might have the name wrong. Near as I can recollect, it was located on the North side of Clement in the 1940's between 5th and 6th, right up from, West, of the Lincoln Market on the North West Corner of 5th and Clement. Vintage guns, taxidermy, a far cry from the more modern Park Presidio Sporting Goods up at 3rd Avenue.I have yet to encounter a single individual who remembers this establishment. There is a very nice Tillmany picture of the OTHER side of the street on this web site.
