I lived at 706 La Playa, right across from Skateland, from 1949-until the apartments/hotel burned in approx 1959. Both my aunt and mother worked at Playland/Cliff House. I took lessons at Skateland for several years beginning when I was about 8 yrs. old. My sister, Darlene, met her husband, Ernie Hiatt,there.

Although I remember some of the names mentioned in the other messages, I was just a little kid who liked to hang out there.
