Sunday early morning: That's how they do it. There are times when it appears the nuclear/atomic bomb was real (see old 50s (mostly) B movies), and/or the aliens took over (see 90s Independence Day, a hi tek version of "War of the Worlds," or "The X Files," a 90s TV reworking of several 60s/70s TV shows). There is no one there at all for the day!

Saturday in a city's business district also works: I walked thru our SF Financial District on a Saturday afternoon in 1981. I enjoyed my walking/revisiting many memories, and even could talk out loud to some people who had become ghosts, because I encountered absolutely no one else for blocks and blocks.

I walked thru City College on a Sunday in 2008, and passed by one person (across the way, walking her dog), continued past Riordan, around the corner, up the hill, until turning south to Ocean, and saw absolutely no one else.

There are times when freeways, bridges, and usually gridlocked streets are vacant. Production fees are ignored by movie studios IF the right person knows when it is NOT necessary to officially shut down a street, etc. Oh, I'm sure some arrangements had to be made, but I am certain not very many. Remember that fogless day film drive along/thru SF a little earlier? Click back if you don't. There were a few places where traffic was absent.

I'm still the only person not a guy commenting. Ready to take me on a nip thru Twin Peaks Tunnel now?
