Driving through the tunnel is probably the least of my "I'm glad the statute of limitations is over." We pulled more than a few pranks that would get us arrested and sentenced to life without parole, today. We weren't always exactly smart - although a few of our pranks were fairly brilliant. And it is too bad that the stupid stuff we did would literally be a Federal Offense today. I really dislike how we are throwing away our rights for a false sense of security.
But that infamous ride... I don't recall seeing another streetcar. And I think it took maybe 15 or 20 minutes to drive through. The memory is a bit hazy. It was a long time ago... :)
We've been to two of Victor's reunions back here and swore after the first one it was the last. A couple of friends begged and pleaded with us to go to another. It was as bad as the first. I'm not holding out any hope that mine would be any better.
But... who knows how I'll feel in 2020... :)
