I think whatever "fight" the citizens of SF have in them is reserved for fighting to keep up with the mortgage and property tax or in most cases rent. The days of people mobilizing in favor of an issue have been priced out of existence. The only people protesting anything are the ones "occupying" Wall St. or Oakland. People who have kids in this city( an increasingly rare beast)treasure the "little darlings" all the way into a serious entitlement complex and hence the problems you all addressed.

Personally I find the idea of plastic fields in Golden Gate Park to be an absolute travesty. Long live real grass and pesky gophers.
