Frank's ABCs Part 2

I am not joking when I say I gasped with delight after I saw Frank's Part 2 was up for perusal!!

I especially remember the security gates. I flew down from Canada (where I was living) to visit Mom in the Quintara St. Home Place in the early 70s, and was horrified to see a security gate had been erected at the base of the stairs leading to the second floor entry door. When I asked her about the change, she said she did it because a neighbor had "recommended it." She, personally, did not see why this was a necessity, but she did it anyway. As far as I recall, there had been no burglaries/robberies in her immediate neighborhood.
