Wrapping up this conversation...over the years I have questioned the legislators I have come in contact with, what's with the lottery and the money that is supposed to support our schools. I have only received wishy-washy responses. Still makes me angry. However, on that day at Kezar, the thrill that was exhibited by attendees as to the event was second to none. At one point, someone started throwing a beach ball through the stands. That ball made it all around the stadium to the loud thrill of the crowd. In some ways that crazy beach ball symbolized the passion that existed in the crowd that day. Too bad that same passion does not seem to exist today. Thanks to all for your memories of this time in history!
