February 29 is also the birthday of Gioachino Rossini, the famous Italian composer from the 17th Century. He authored 39 operas as well as a wide variety of other music. Best known for his Barber of Seville and the speed at which is known to have written his operas.
Those who use Google with see that today's Doodle is in his honor
He died at the age of 77 so I guess he only had 17 birthdays!!
