The Heath siren on the Ferry Building was unfortunately destroyed in 2001 during renovation work. Its remains are supposedly at the Maritime museum in San Francisco. However, a second siren still remains in the tower (but unused), a Federal Signal Thunderbolt with its horn sticking through the wall towards the city.
