PEMABO's Peace Garden was a unique anti-Viet Nam War and anti-Richard Nixon expression located on the west side of Clayton Street a few houses north of Clayton's intersection with Ashbury.
My vague recollection from that era was the Bond family didn't approve of Peter's non-capitalistic use of a choice piece of real estate. Non surprisingly, a fire destroyed the garden.
It's former site can be easily located by the "modern" architecture of 1043-1045 Clayton Street.
