Hi John,
I just sent an email to ask Amanda. I've also seen the clippings folder at the SF Public Library and the Playland folder in the SF History Room, but I still really seem to have a dearth of coverage between about 1960 and 1972 - no articles about the riots, and Playland seems to have closed for a while before re-opening under Marty Davis. Then when they were tearing it down, people took interest again. Thanks for your help, and this oral history is a fantastic resource, so thanks for that as well.
