The location of said grove: There is a pedestrian path leading south from Kennedy (Main) Drive. Just west of the deYoung, and just east of Stow Lake.
If you follow this path, you'll go up a bit of incline. Just before you come to the steps leading up to Stow Lake's east end, look to the right. Not a big area, but, if I'm correct, the stones lay thereabouts for several years. For a time there was even a stone, or concrete traffic barrier, missile shaped, smooth round topped. Placed there for mystical, contemplative purposes.
In the second from the top photo in the previously mentioned website, you can see cars in the distance, I believe on Kennedy drive.
