No need for a truce.
It's off the subject of this site, but the time I spent at Palace and Cochran's provided some of the most educational and adventurous experiences of my life. I ran into characters down there that I never would have otherwise met and saw some of the best pool players in the country and a future Canadian snooker champ.
The thing that set me on this rail was hearing about Willie Mosconi shooting an exhibition at the old Palace (formerly Graney's) where Fifth St. North is today. Never saw anything like him.
